Canada's Trade with the World, by Region

Canada recorded a total trade deficit of 1.5% with the world in 2016. There was a growth of over 1% in total trade between Canada and the Asia Pacific region. Canada’s total trade with the United States, our top trading partner, saw a decrease of 3%. Exports to the Europe region increased almost 4%, while imports with the Other region rose by 6%.
