Government of Canada Invests Additional C$575,000 in Pulse Canada

Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Lawrence MacAulay has announced an investment of C$575,000 to Pulse Canada for food service market research and development projects. In 2017, Canadian pulse exports neared C$3.4 billion and the growth in the sector is vital for the Government of Canada’s goal of increasing agriculture and food exports. The funding will be used to explore new market opportunities in China, Eastern Asia, the United States, and Canada, with $175,721 specifically earmarked for pulse innovation in the Chinese market.
