In 2016, 3,470 resettled refugees and protected persons from Asia became permanent residents. Among the listed countries, Pakistan was the largest source of refugee applicants followed by China. Together, both countries accounted for 83% of refugee immigrants from the listed Asian countries. Afghanistan, not listed below, is the largest source country of refugees from Asia Pacific Region with 1,910 refugees in 2016.
